On average you can expect to pay roughly 20 25 percent more for a custom door. The minimum recommended door width to allow persons with disabilities to pass through is 36 inches. The additional room allows for a 3 4 inch top jamb a shim. You should add 2 1 2 to the height of the actual door.
The height of common doors is 6 feet 8 inches. An 80 inch door is called a 6 8 door pronounced six eight. Framing rough opening sizes are really quite simple. The standard height of the rough opening for a door is the door height plus 2 5 8 inches.
